The University of Tasmania is committed to empowering learners to shape their future and contribute meaningfully to their communities. As the world’s top ranked university for climate action, we continue to champion sustainable outcomes alongside social, cultural, and economic progress.
Founded in 1890, the University recognises that Tasmania’s, and Australia’s, future innovation relies on strong participation in education. We are dedicated to delivering high quality, industry aligned learning opportunities that meet the evolving needs of businesses, communities, and the wider workforce. Our programs are designed to be relevant, practical, and responsive, ensuring that learners can immediately apply new skills in real world settings.
We also understand that modern learners, especially small business owners and their staff, need study options that fit around work and life. That’s why we offer flexible, stackable learning pathways that support lifelong development. Whether you’re seeking a short course to build capability quickly or a clear route into higher qualifications, our offerings are designed to adapt to your goals.
As Tasmania’s only university, we play a unique role in driving local opportunity while fostering global connections. Through strong partnerships with industry and business, we help grow talent, strengthen capability, and support a thriving, future focused economy.
