Small business shouldn't be done alone

The Tasmanian Small Business Expo is the premier event for small business owners from all across Tasmania, entrepreneurs, those who are dreaming of starting something new and aspiring business professionals. Running on Thursday August 15 at the Moonah Arts Centre across two sessions, we’re excited to bring together everyone to get ahead and support the strength of the Tasmanian small business economy.

While 2024 is our inaugural expo, everything in place is informed by the experience and knowledge of the Tasmanian business community – knowing what sort of help you need now to get up and thrive in your business journey. This year’s expo will be inspiring as you get to network with other business owners, learn about the support that is available to make running your business easier, informative sessions about resources and services available to help you and much more.

And as we recognise that Tasmanian business owners wear many hats, we’re running two sessions this year;

  • 12:30 – 2:30 pm | Lunchtime session for those who are already in Hobart during the day, balancing work during school hours or avoid the colder evenings!
  • 5:30 – 7:30 pm | Evening session for those who are coming in after work to explore that side hustle idea, after a full day of commitments or just want to unwind and explore.

While the Tasmanian Small Business Expo is a free event and you are welcome to just turn up, registrations are preferred to help us manage the capacity of the venue, which you can do by clicking the button below.
