Hobart | Thursday March 19, Hobart City Hall

A focused conversation for those shaping Tasmania’s small business ecosystem.

The Tasmanian Small Business Expo – Stakeholder Summit is a focused, invitation‑led conversation for organisations and leaders who shape how small business is supported across Tasmania. Building on the conversations, insights, and relationships formed through previous Tasmanian Small Business Expos, the Stakeholder Summit provides a dedicated space to step back, reflect, and look forward together.

This is not just an expo or networking event. It is a purposeful working session designed to strengthen alignment across the small business ecosystem.

Why the Stakeholder Summit exists

Small business support in Tasmania is rich, but often fragmented. The Stakeholder Summit brings together those closest to policy, programs, funding, services, and delivery to:

  • Share insight on what is working and where gaps remain
  • Build stronger alignment across regions and portfolios
  • Inform how future support, collaboration, and engagement is shaped
  • Ensure small business needs are reflected in decision‑making

The intent is practical: better coordination, clearer pathways, and stronger outcomes for Tasmanian small businesses.

Where & When

In 2026, the Tasmanian Small Business Expo runs across:

  • Devonport (North West Coast) – Monday 16 March, from 2:30 – 4:00 pm at the Market Square Pavillion
  • Launceston (Northern Tasmania) – Tuesday 17 March, from 2:30 – 4:00 pm at Du Cane Brewing Hall
  • Hobart (Southern Tasmania) – Thursday 19 March, from 2:30 – 4:00 pm at Hobart City Hall

The Stakeholder Summit draws on insight gathered across multiple years and all regions, ensuring the discussion reflects the diversity of business experience across the state.

Why your participation matters

The value of the Stakeholder Summit comes from who is present and how openly ideas are shared. Your participation helps:

  • Strengthen collective impact
  • Reduce duplication and disconnect
  • Improve how support is experienced by business owners
  • Shape what comes next for Tasmania’s small business ecosystem

This is an opportunity to build on existing work and contribute to a shared, statewide conversation about the future of small business in Tasmania.

Your input is highly valued in this discussion, and we hope that you can make it along.
