Small business shouldn't be done alone

The Tasmanian Small Business Expo is the premier event for small business owners from all across Tasmania, entrepreneurs, those who are dreaming of starting something new and aspiring business professionals. After the success and strong attendance of our inaugural event in August 2024, we’re expanding the event with more exhibitors who can support and help you in your business, bring a stronger lineup of speakers and sessions to help you learn more about key factors to help your business, and we’re expanding to bring the event to Northern Tasmania too – because we are eager to do more to support the strength of the Tasmanian small business economy.

Every aspect of the Tasmanian Small Business Expo is informed by the experience and knowledge of the Tasmanian business community – knowing what sort of help you need now to get up and thrive in your business journey. This year’s expo will be inspiring as you get to network with other business owners, learn about the support that is available to make running your business easier, informative sessions about resources and services available to help you and much more.

We’ll be running the Tasmanian Small Business Expo in Launceston on Tuesday April 8, 2025 at the Launceston Conference Centre on Glen Dhu Street (Door of Hope Complex) and in Hobart on Wednesday April 9, 2025 at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre on Bell Street, New Town – and as we recognise that Tasmanian business owners wear many hats, we’re running two sessions in each location;

  • 12:30 – 2:30 pm | Lunchtime session for those who are already in Launceston or Hobart during the day, balancing work during school hours or avoid the colder evenings!
  • 5:30 – 7:30 pm | Evening session for those who are coming in after work to explore that side hustle idea, after a full day of commitments or just want to unwind and explore.

While the Tasmanian Small Business Expo is a free event and you are welcome to just turn up, registrations are preferred to help us manage the capacity of the venue, which you can do by clicking the button below.

Free Registration

We are pleased to announce that attendance to the Tasmanian Small Business Expo 2025 is completely free!

We believe in making this valuable event accessible to everyone in the Tasmanian small business community so you can network, access support and learn more to help you with your business. While tickets are free, we highly encourage attendees to register in advance to help us with event planning and to ensure a smooth experience for all participants.

Why Attend?

We know that Tasmania has a vibrant small business community, and we want to bring together as many people interested in business together to hear from key organisations, learn from organisations that are solely focused on helping you out, build lasting relationships with other business owners – and for those who haven’t started yet, find that there is so much help available to get up and get going!
