We’re bringing back the Tasmanian Small Business Expo in 2025, expanding it be a statewide event – and we’ve chosen larger venues to help allow more supporters of Tasmanian small business to be involved.
In 2024, the Tasmanian Small Business Expo was based on the passion of three organisations (APM, Asuria and The van Diemen Project) to showcase the support that is on offer to Tasmanian businesses and help them connect to grow and strengthen their existing business as well as for those looking to start to not do it alone. We tested the concept in the Moonah Arts Centre with a six week planning window – and over 400 people turned up to access support and advice!
With that vote of confidence, we’re bring the expo back in 2025 with larger venues (the Tasmanian Hockey Centre in New Town) as well as running an event in Launceston (at the Launceston Conference Centre) – and with more space, we’re opening the doors to more organisations and businesses to be involved – including those who want to provide valuable services to small businesses.
To keep the event free and cover venue costs, there is a small charge for having a stall, based on the type of support that you offer;
- Supporters of Small Business (includes government funded programs, providers of low-cost / no-cost mentoring and support and other eligible organisations) $75 for one event or $125 for both (all prices listed are ex GST).
- All Other Organisations $175 for one event or $300 for both (all prices listed are ex GST).
All stallholders will be provided with a trestle table and limited floor space to display a banner and other materials, and table clothes can be provided upon request (if the venue has them on hand).
This small contribution helps us to ensure that the Tasmanian Small Business Expo remains a free event to engage with as many people as possible.
